Spring 2011 |
After almost 6 years and 7 summers, the Thomas family is moving on.
God is moving us not across the state of Texas but to Arizona! It's
crazy! The emotions in this house this past week have been extra
special...we are excited, nervous, overwhelmed, sad...Zephyr was our
first real home, the place where 2 of our daughters were born, the place
we had our first pet. We have grown so much here and I couldn't of
asked for a better place to raise our girls these past few years. They
grew up exploring all things nature, climbing oak trees, camping at the
lake, swimming in the pond, fishing with their Dad on the boat,
horseback riding and riding bikes all over camp. We have had the
opportunity to really experience the "country life" to the fullest! We
are used to regular visit by scorpions, watching deer eat in the field,
random episodes with mice and rats, finding a baby mole in the playroom
and EVEN a snake in the dining room! As weird as all that sounds, I
wouldn't change any of it. Well, except the snake part! Blah! Zephyr is
where we found our second family and all our close friends and church
community. The thought of saying good bye to all these people that we
love and driving out of camp for the last time is too much...
We
are really excited for this new season that God has planned for us. I
never imagined we would ever live in a place like Zephyr so I can't wait
to see what He will do next! Pray for us as we (and the camp) go
through all these emotions and changes! Zephyr on my mind....
